About 51 killed in fresh Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon

BEIRUT, Sept. 25 (YPA) – Lebanon’s Health Minister Firass Abiad announced on Wednesday that 51 people were killed and 223 others were injured as a result of Israeli occupation’s airstrikes during the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health said in a initial report that “the Israeli enemy’s raid that targeted the hit the Keserwan town of Maaysra, which is located about 30 km north of Beirut, led to killing 3 people and wounding 9 others.

The ministry announced in another statement that today’s Israeli enemy raid on Joun village, in the Chouf district, south of Beirut, “led, according to a preliminary toll, to the killing of 4 people and the injury of 7 others.”

Earlier, a Lebanese security source reported that the raid targeted a house in the Al-Ma’asra area, resulting in its almost complete destruction, while rescue workers were trying to search for survivors under the rubble.
