Bin Habtoor praises China’s role within framework of BRICS group

SANAA, Sept. 24 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, praised China’s vital role within the framework of the BRICS group, which seeks to create new opportunities for cooperation among the world peoples and establish a multi-polar world.

This came during his meeting on Tuesday with Fouad Al-Ghafari, advisor to the Prime Minister of the Sanaa government for BRICS affairs.

Dr. Bin Habtoor affirmed the depth of the Yemeni-Chinese historical relations and the development they witnessed during the past seven decades, noting the 68th anniversary of the establishment of Yemeni-Chinese diplomatic relations, which falls on the 24th of September.

The Supreme Political Council member emphasized the common destiny that brought together Yemen and China in ancient times on the Yemeni frankincense and Chinese silk routes, as well as the two countries’ contemporary positions on various issues.
