SANAA, Sept. 22 (YPA) – Dozens of doctors and health workers in Morocco demonstrated on Sunday, denouncing the Israeli occupation’s targeting of their colleagues in the Gaza Strip during its war that has been ongoing for about a year.
Dozens of doctors, pharmacists and health workers gathered in front of the parliament building in the capital, Rabat, at the invitation of the “Doctors for Palestine” Coordination.
The demonstrators, wearing their white medical clothing, chanted slogans, carried Palestinian flags and banners with slogans such as: “Palestine is proud and free”, “Stop the (Israeli) aggression on Gaza, and stop the war of extermination.”
Participants praised the sacrifices of medical teams in Gaza, their steadfastness and work throughout the day with minimal resources to treat the wounded and sick.
They also criticised the direct Israeli targeting of health workers and ambulance crews, destruction of health facilities and infrastructure, and depriving citizens of medical services.
