Islah forces impose additional fees on gas tankers in Taiz

TAIZ, Sept. 20 (YPA) – The Islah forces affiliated with Saudi-led coalition, which controlling Taiz, province,  have imposed new measures in the form of additional fees on gas tankers.

Local sources reported that soldiers stationed at security checkpoints received orders from the Taiz military command to charge fees of up to 500 riyals on each gas cylinder.

These actions have sparked widespread outrage among citizens, who pointed out that these levies are illegal and exacerbate their suffering amid the ongoing economic crisis.

Mazen Hadi, the media spokesperson for the Gas Agents Syndicate in Taiz, emphasized that any charges imposed outside the legal framework are entirely unacceptable.

He urged for immediate action to stop these violations, as they are affecting citizens’ livelihoods and adding to their daily hardships.
