Sanaa Gov’t announces reduction in website, search engine license fees

SANAA, Sept. 12 (YPA) – The Minister of Information in the Sanaa government, Hashem Sharaf al-Din, on Thursday announced a 70% reduction in fees for obtaining licenses for media websites and search engines on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.

The Minister of Information explained in a press statement that “the reduction decision comes in the context of seeking to control and rationalize media work on the Internet.”

He called on website and search engine owners to take advantage of the reduction and quickly submit their applications to complete the licensing procedures before the end of the specified period of two months, starting from Rabi’ al-Awwal 7, 1446 AH, corresponding to September 10, 2024.
