Mass demonstration staged in London against genocidal war in Gaza

LONDON, Sept. 07 (YPA) – Tens of thousands of Palestine supporters demonstrated in the British capital, London, to reject the genocidal war that the Israeli occupation has been carrying out against the Palestinian people the Gaza Strip since October of last year.

The 19th demonstration of its kind in London since the outbreak of the war on Gaza, which launched from Regent Street in central London towards the Israeli embassy, came after a dispute between the organizers and the British police over the timing and route of the march.

Angrily, the organizers complained about an official attempt to change the timing and impose some restrictions on the demonstration, but the organizers insisted on their right to demonstrate peacefully.

The demonstration, which was held under the name of “End genocide – Stop arming Israel – No to war in the Middle East – No to Islamophobia,” came a few days after a wave of violence that some far-right groups led, and the government confronted with the force of law.
