Israeli soldier killed, another injured in Jenin camp

GAZA, Aug. 31 (YPA) – An Israeli soldier was killed and another injured on Saturday in violent armed clashes that broke out in the Al-Damj neighborhood in the Jenin camp in the northern West Bank, according to Hebrew media outlets.

Palestinian media reported that successive explosions were heard in the area, coinciding with armed clashes that were the most violent since the invasion of the camp last week.

Eyewitnesses in Jenin reported that Red Star of David ambulances of the Zionist occupation were seen transporting the wounded Israeli soldiers from inside the Al-Damj neighborhood after violent clashes.

A large number of explosive devices were detonated in the area, and an Israeli force fell into a tight ambush in Al-Kaman area. An Israeli military helicopter was also seen landing in the vicinity of the Al-Jalama checkpoint to transport the wounded.

Hebrew media outlets published scenes of Israeli military helicopters landing at Rambam Hospital, carrying injuries and deaths among the ranks of the Israeli occupation forces after they fell into a tight ambush in Jenin camp.
