WORLD, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The European Union (EU) is set to discuss imposing sanctions on Israeli ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich today, according to Channel 12.
Meanwhile, Amnesty International has urged the EU to impose sanctions on Israel and adhere to the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice.
Amnesty International emphasized in a letter to EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell and the foreign ministers of EU member states that supplying weapons and equipment to Israel, as well as trade and investment in illegal Israeli settlements, violates the EU’s obligations under international law.
