OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Aug. 01 (YPA) – The Israeli Ministry of Defense signed a deal worth 1.5 billion shekels (about 340 million dollars) with the Israeli “Elbayt” ammunition systems company.
As part of the deal, Elbayt will establish a new weapons factory in Israel.
The Times of Israel quoted the ministry as saying that the purchase is part of its strategy to ensure a stable supply of vital materials to the army, and its longevity during ongoing and future operations.
Last Monday, the entity announced the signing of a contract worth $220 million with Elbayt Systems Company to supply precision-guided mortar shells.
According to the occupation Ministry of Defense, the company won a contract worth about $190 million to supply guided mortar shells with Iron Sting model.
