GAZA, July 27 (YPA) – The death toll from the Israeli occupation’s bombing on Saturday on a field hospital in a school housing displaced people in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip rose to 30 dead and more than 100 injured, including serious cases.
This came in in a statement was made by the Gaza-based Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Earlier on day, the Civil Defense spokesman in the Gaza Strip reported that 24 Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on a medical point and a prayer hall inside a UNRWA school housing displaced people north of the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
“We are receiving dozens of martyrs and wounded, including children and women, as a result of targeting a medical point in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip,” Medical Director of al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza, Iyad Al-Jabri said.
The al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital spokesman said, “More than 20 martyrs have been reported so far as a result of the Israeli raid on Deir al-Balah, and more than 60% of the injuries that arrived at the hospital are serious.”
He added: “We are in dire need of medicines and medical staff to provide care for the injured, and we call on the international community to intervene immediately to open the crossings to bring medicines into the Strip.”
