Israeli official: Normalization with Saudi Arabia is still possible before November

WASHINGTON, July 27 (YPA) – An Israeli official has said that reaching a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia is still possible.

The official stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the matter with US President Joe Biden during their meeting last Thursday at the White House, confirming that reaching an agreement before the presidential elections “is still possible.”

Senior congressional sources had previously told “The Times of Israel” newspapers that there was no chance of reaching an agreement before the elections because there was not enough time left for Congress to approve the security package that Riyadh is seeking with Washington as part of the broader initiative put forward by the Biden administration.

The sources did not completely rule out reaching an agreement between the elections and the inauguration of the next president, but they confirmed that this is still very unlikely.
