WORLD, July 26 (YPA) – “Israel” prides itself on having some of the best air defenses in the world, but these billion-dollar systems are being tested by attacks from by resistance movements, Bloomberg reported.
Both Hezbollah and the Yemeni Armed Forces have been engaged in tit-for-tat fighting with Israel since war broke out in October, it added.
According to Bloomberg, the resistance movements have stepped up their use of explosive drones, which have proven more effective at evading Israel’s high-tech defenses than missiles and rockets. An escalation of their attacks could overwhelm Israel’s systems.
Bloomberg also confirmed that Hezbollah has already inflicted damage and killed dozens in the northern “occupied territories” since October using “explosive suicide drones,” many of which have managed to “infiltrate the Israeli defenses.”
The attack by the Yemeni Armed Forces on Tel Aviv with a drone, “which did not issue any warning alerts,” also highlighted the weakness of the Israeli occupation in the face of the incoming drones.
This is in light of the admission by the Israeli Occupation Army that “its air defenses, including the Iron Dome, can be overcome if a large number of projectiles are fired at once,” while Israel expects Hezbollah “to be able to launch around 3,000 rockets and projectiles per day during the war, which far exceeds the capacity of the systems designed to intercept them.”
In this regard, Israeli media quoted officials in the Occupation Army’s Air Force as saying, after Hezbollah published the video “What the Hoopoe Brought 3” and included pictures of an Israeli air base, that the most challenging part in confronting Hezbollah’s drones is identifying them in the first place.
