MOSCOW, July 26 (YPA) – A Mi-28 helicopter belonging to the Russian military crashed in the western Kaluga Region and the crew was killed in the Kaluga region in southwestern Russia.
Interfax quoted the Ministry of Defense as saying, “Preliminary information indicates that the cause of the disaster was a technical defect.”
The helicopter crashed in an uninhabited area. There is no damage on the ground. The crew died,” the department said, state-run news agency RIA Novosti reported.
“A commission of the Russian Aerospace Forces is working at the site for investigating for the crash,” the defense ministry added.
