Yemeni Parliament in Sanaa considers de-escalation agreement “positive step”
SANAA, July 24 (YPA) – The House of Representatives in Sanaa on Wednesday welcomed the de-escalation agreement regarding the banking sector and Yemeni Airlines.
In its session today, the Parliament confirmed that the agreement, which was concluded between Sanaa and Riyadh under United Nations auspices, represents a positive step and a gain for all the people of Yemen and “a loss of the lost US-Zionist bets that tried hard to obstruct everything related to understandings on economic and humanitarian files.”
It considered that “a first step on the right path” to address the problems that citizens suffer from in many provinces, especially with regard to the full opening of Sanaa International Airport and allowing continuous flights to serve the sick and stranded, and the other issues related to the financial transfers.
The House of Representatives urged all to redouble efforts and create the atmosphere to address the effects and repercussions left by the aggression and siege for more than nine years in order to achieve lasting and comprehensive peace.
