Saudi Arabia overthrows unified financial network of Aden’s central bank

ADEN, July 24 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia overthrew the unified financial network established by the Central Bank of Aden under the supervision of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) last June, an economic researcher said on Tuesday.

The economic researcher, Rashid Al-Haddad, explained that the economic agreement between Sanaa and Riyadh overthrew the unified financial network of Aden’s central bank, which made the USAID handle internal transfers under false justifications and pretexts.

Al-Haddad stated that “the measures taken by Saudi Arabia to reverse the economic escalations proved that it was the political, economic, and military decision-maker in the southern Yemeni provinces,” considering members of “the Leadership Council” loyal to the Saudi-led coalition and the pro-coalition government just “employees” at the Saudi special committee.

He noted that the step to halt economic escalation measures against commercial and Islamic banks “spared Riyadh the repercussions of gambling” and preserved the Yemeni banking sector from division.
