Transport Minister makes new remarks regarding Sanaa airport flights

SANAA, July 23 (YPA) – Sanaa-based Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, declared on Tuesday the opening of new travel destinations from Sanaa airport to Jordan, India and Egypt.

The minister told Al-Mayadeen TV that the step came in response to what the leadership in Sanaa demanded as a starting step, calling for the opening of all destinations that were available before the war on Yemen.

Al-Durra stated that Hodeida port has been subjected to many conspiracies and bombings since 2015, therefore the technical and engineering capabilities in the ports of the Yemeni Red Sea Corporation are carry out their duty immediately after any aggression or bombing on the port.

Regarding the restoration of work in the port of Hodeida, the minister indicated that “the bridge cranes of the port repaired after being bombed in 2015, and they have currently bombed by Israeli aircraft.

He added that all parties moved to confront this danger to rehabilitate and re-operate the port.

“Work is underway on all the berths of the ports of Salief and Ras Issa despite the aggression, bombing and raids on this port,” Al-Durra explained. “Within 48 hours, work was restored in the port of Hodeidah, as ships were received there and cargoes were unloaded.”

Last Saturday, the Israeli occupation launched an aggression against Yemen, targeting oil storage facilities in the port of Hodeida, west of the country, which led to 6 martyrs and 83 wounded.
