Trump: Kamala Harris will be easier to defeat than Biden

WORLD, July 22 (YPA) — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that defeating Kamala Harris in the US presidential election would be much easier than defeating Joe Biden.

In a statement to CNN following Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race, Trump said, “Defeating Harris in the US presidential election will be much easier than defeating Biden.”

Trump also described the current US President Joe Biden as the “worst president” after Biden’s decision to withdraw from the presidential race.

On Sunday evening, US President Joe Biden had announced his withdrawal from the US Presidential race, US media reported on Sunday.

“While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” Biden said in a statement.

Biden, who has withdrawn from the presidential race, also endorsed his vice president, Kamala Harris, as the Democratic nominee for the 2024 presidential election.

Biden’s withdrawal comes after strong pressure from members of his party urging him not to run for a second term, following several setbacks since he faced off against his Republican rival, Donald Trump.
