WORLD, June 29 (YPA) – Spain has filed lawsuit with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to join South Africa in its lawsuit against “Israel” over alleged genocide in the Gaza Strip

According to statements from both the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Court of Justice, Spain intervened in the case under the 1948 United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, invoking Article 63 of the Court’s Statute.

The Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized in its statement that this intervention aims to contribute to the restoration of peace in Gaza and the Middle East, ending the war, and promoting the two-state solution.
