Families of Israeli prisoners: Netanyahu heads government of death, we demand end to war to save our sons

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Aug. 09 (YPA) – The families of Israeli prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza attacked Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, describing it as a “government of death,” accusing it of making decisions that would lead to the killing of living prisoners and the loss of the bodies of those killed and demanding an urgent plan to end the war in exchange for the release of the prisoners.

In a statement, the families said, “Our people are capable of putting an end to what is happening, and our sons, soldiers, and state must be saved.” They warned that they would pursue Netanyahu if any of the prisoners were killed in Gaza.

They emphasized that the “Netanyahu government” is neither the state nor history, calling for a comprehensive strike to “correct the course” and confront what they described as destructive decisions.

The families stressed the need to stop the military operation in Gaza immediately, considering that its continuation “sentences death” to the prisoners.

They called on US Special Envoy David Satterfield Witkoff to present a proposal to stop the war before any new military escalation, noting that “Israel was founded to be a safe homeland for Jews, not a place to kill them.”

The statement added that “Life cannot continue normally when the Chief of Staff announces that our soldiers will be sent to die,” calling on “Israelis to confront the government and impose a political path that will ensure the return of the prisoners and the rescue of the state.”
