Dozens dead, wounded in new Israeli bombing of Gaza Strip

GAZA, June 22 (YPA) – Dozens of dead and wounded arrived at Al-Maamdani Hospital, south of Gaza City, after a violent Israeli bombardment targeted Al-Shati Camp and Al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of the city, on Saturday.

More than 15 dead people were recovered from under the rubble of homes in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City.

A spokesman for the Civil Defense in Gaza confirmed that “there is extreme difficulty in reaching the victims of the bombing in the Beach Camp area,” noting that “the capabilities of the Civil Defense are not commensurate with the extent of the destruction in the Strip.”

He added: “Our crews recovered a number of martyrs and wounded, most of them women and children, after targeting Al-Shati camp. We demand that support and equipment be provided to us so that we can carry out our tasks. We are also facing difficulties in providing the fuel necessary to carry out our work.”

The Hamas movement said in a statement, “The Nazi enemy is carrying out new massacres by bombing a residential square in the Beach Camp, west of Gaza City, and by targeting the tents of the displaced in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Yunis and Rafah.”

The director of the government media office in Gaza confirmed that “the Israeli occupation destroyed seven homes in the Beach Camp, resulting in the killing of 42 people, an infinite toll,” indicating that the talk here is about “Israel committing two horrific massacres in the Beach Camp and the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.”
