SHABWA, June 04 (YPA) – A local official loyal to the Saudi-led coalition held gas and gasoline tankers allocated to four provinces at the eastern entrance to the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwa province.
Local sources confirmed that the director of Shabwa Electricity, Awad Al-Qarbou, set up a tent at the entrance to Ataq city and prevented the passage of trucks transporting gas and oil derivatives coming from Marib and heading to Aden, Lahj, Dhalea, and Taiz, in protest against the lack of fuel for the Shabwa power station.
This comes in light of the absence of state institutions since the beginning of 2016 amid the spread of security chaos and the continuing collapse of basic services and the local currency there, which has doubled the suffering of citizens.
