UAE-backed forces’ military vehicle hit in Abyan

ABYAN, May 15 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen targeted a military vehicle of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces in Abyan province, southern Yemen, on Wednesday.

Local sources confirmed that unidentified gunmen believed to belong to Al-Qaeda detonated an explosive device in one of the military vehicles in the Al-Jabla area of Modiyah District, without mentioning any damage.

This comes as an extension of the operations targeting the STC forces since the latter launched Operation “Siham Al-Sharq” against the Islah Party camps in August 2022.
