U.S. police arrest pro-Palestine students at George Washington University

WASHINGTON, May 09 (YPA) – The American police announced the arrest of dozens of students who protesting at George Washington University in support of the Palestinians, and that the sit-in square was evacuated of demonstrators.

The police deployed to the sit-in square after it was evacuated of demonstrators and began removing the camp hours after dozens of protesters left the site and marched toward the home of the university president, Ellen Granberg.

American media outlets reported that some protesters were sprayed with water and pepper spray, while police prevented them from entering the camp.

The students called for the university administration to withdraw investments from companies related to the Israeli entity, end academic programs, and stop targeting students who support Palestinian rights.
