Employees of European Union demonstrate in Brussels against aggression on Gaza
SANAA, May 08 (YPA) – More than 100 employees of European Union institutions in Brussels organized a demonstration on Wednesday against the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Media reports reported that protesters raised three rolled-up white cloth covers stained with red spots, bearing the words “International Law,” “European Union Conventions,” and “The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide,” in the square facing the main office of the European Commission in the Belgian capital.
European Commission employee Manus Carlisle said: “We are gathering here in a peaceful gathering in order to defend the rights, principles and values on which European institutions were built, and the values of human rights, human dignity and freedom”.
For its part, the European Commission did not comment on the protest.
