Guterres demands Zionist enemy authorities to reopen Rafah, Kerem Shalom crossings
SANAA, May 07 (YPA) – The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, on Tuesday, called on the Zionist enemy authorities to reopen the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings “immediately” and stop the escalation in the Gaza Strip.
Guterres said, in a press statement, “Closing the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings at the same time is particularly harmful to the already desperate humanitarian situation”.
He stressed the need to reopen the two crossings immediately, warning that a “widespread attack” on Rafah, which is crowded with citizens, would constitute a “humanitarian catastrophe”.
Previously, the enemy forces stormed the Rafah border crossing and stopped the flow of aid to the Strip, as part of their ground incursion into the city of Rafah, which began yesterday morning.
