Yemeni riyal records new losses against foreign currencies in southern, eastern provinces

SANAA, April 17 (YPA) – The local currency recorded new losses in financial transactions in the city of Aden and the rest of the provinces under the control of the Saudi-led coalition forces against foreign currencies on Wednesday.

Banking sources reported the selling price of one dollar in Aden and the other southern and eastern provinces recorded a new high, reaching 1,687 riyals for sale, and 1,678 riyals for purchase, while the exchange rate for buying and selling the Saudi riyal ranged between 443 and 444 Yemeni riyals.

The sources explained that the exchange rate of the dollar in Sanaa and the provinces under the control of the Supreme Political Council when buying remained stable at 528 riyals to the dollar, selling 533 riyals, and buying and selling the Saudi riyal between 139 and 140 Yemeni riyals.
