Abductees Mothers’ Association demands revealing detainees inside Aden prisons

ADEN, 08 (YPA) – The Association of Mothers of Abductees called for revealing the fate of 60 forcibly disappeared people in the prisons of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias in Aden city, south of Yemen.

In a statement, the association affirmed that and 60 of the children have been forcibly disappeared by the STC’s security services in Aden, deprived of their freedom for years, and their families are deprived of visits and do not know about the fate of their disappeared relatives.

The statement expressed the deep concern about the continued disappearance of the children without information about their health and lives.

It denounced the neglect and procrastination in revealing the appearance of kidnapped children and resolving their humanitarian file.

The association’s statement appealed to the international community and all human rights and media organizations to put pressure and work to end the suffering.

“There are 60 forcibly disappeared people about whom nothing is known, some of whom have exceeded eight years,” it added.

The statement stressed that these horrific violations against these civilians contradict international standards of human rights and fundamental freedoms agreed upon by the entire world.
