Aden witnesses armed confrontations between STC factions in central Aden “Details”
ADEN, Feb. 28 (YPA) – Violent confrontations broke out on Wednesday between the Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions loyal to the UAE, leaving wounded and destroying a military vehicle in the center of the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition.
Local sources in the city reported that clashes broke out between members of the “Security Belt” and “Emergency” factions affiliated with the STC in the Al-Haswa area of Al-Buraiqa District, leaving three wounded, including civilians, and a military vehicle destroyed, according to preliminary statistics.
The area witnessed violent confrontations with various types of weapons and heavy gunfire, creating a state of panic and terror among citizens and passersby as a result of territorial disputes between the leaders of the factions belonging to Al-Dhalea and Yafa.
The sources indicated that the factions sent armed reinforcements to the area and carried out a wide deployment up to the palace point, without revealing the final statistics of the confrontations.
