TAIZ, Feb. 28 (YPA) -Sanaa-based government took on Wednesday an initiative to open a number of roads linking the provinces of Taiz, Lahj, and Aden in southern Yemen.
This came when the Sanaa-run National Military Committee with the local authority in Taiz province inaugurated the opening of the 50-60 road in al-Noor City, as well as the Haifan-Tur al-Baha road linking the province’s areas with the rest of the coalition forces-held areas.
Deputy Chairman of the National Military Committee, Brigadier General Hashem, confirmed that the 50th-60th and Haifan-Tor Al-Baha roads have become passable and safe through the efforts of the security and military units, in a way that alleviates the suffering of citizens and travelers.
He pointed out the initiative comes as a translation of the directives of the leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, to facilitate movement and traffic routes between the regions, in a way that guarantees the safety and security of citizens.
