ADEN, Feb. 11 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia announced on Sunday the first financial support provided to the head of the “coalition-backed Aden government” following the overthrow of “Moeen Abdul Malik” last week.
Mohammed Al Jaber, the Saudi ambassador, confirmed in a post on the “X” platform that $250 million had been transferred to the Bank of Aden in order to support the government’s budget deficit in salaries, wages, operating expenses, and so-called “food security.”
This comes after the Saudi-led coalition appointed “Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak” as prime minister, coinciding with its inability to pay teachers’ salaries in Aden and the rest of the southern provinces since last December.
