10 defendants in Sanaa referred to prosecution in serious corruption cases

SANAA, Jan. 29 (YPA) – The Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC) in Sanaa referred on Monday 10 defendants in serious corruption cases to the Anti-Corruption Prosecution.

The serious corruption cases included harming the interest of the Republic of Yemen by not benefiting from $13,032,236 in grants provided for a humanitarian aid program.

The authority also approved the completion of investigation procedures by the Authority’s Investigation and Investigation Department, in coordination with the security services, to track down one of the intermediary organizations in the procurement process and incidents of waste and overspending of more than 6,331,225 dollars of the value of the grant and aid that were scheduled for the Republic of Yemen.
