Palestinian teenager killed by Israeli occupation forces during confrontations south of Jenin

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Jan. 23 (YPA) – A Palestinian teenager was killed last night during confrontations with Israeli occupation forces during their incursion in the town of Araba, south of Jenin.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported in a brief statement that a 17-year-old teen, who was identified as Yamen Mohammed Husseti, died of critical gunfire wounds he sustained in the abdomen shortly after being shot by Israeli forces’ live bullet during confrontations that broke out in the town of Araba.

Confrontations reportedly broke out in the area following a military incursion, during which forces fired live bullets heavily toward residents, shooting and injuring the 17-year-old youth.

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli occupation soldiers left the teenager bleeding on the ground and prevented ambulance access to the site.

They reportedly opened fire on the ambulance to prevent it from approaching and withdrew from the area once they made sure the teen was dead.

Following the announcement of the martyrdom of Yamen Husseiti, a procession took place in the town, carrying the martyr on shoulders amid chants condemning the enemy’s crime of assassinating the teenager Husseiti and denouncing the daily crimes of the occupation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
