UAE-backed factions prevent pro-Palestine demonstration in Aden

ADEN, Jan. 11 (YPA) – factions loyal to the UAE on Thursday suppressed a mass rally in solidarity with the Palestinian people in the city of Aden, which has been under Saudi-led coalition control since the second half of 2015.

Human rights sources reported that armed elements in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions dispersed a mass demonstration called for by the “Revolutionary Movement Council” on Thursday afternoon in Al-Buriqa area, west of Aden, to express solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza who are subjected to genocide by the Zionist entity.

The sources indicated that the demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and banners in support of the “Al-Aqsa Flood Battle” without paying attention to the measures imposed by the STC elements.

The participants in the demonstration condemned the Arab regimes in the UAE and Saudi Arabia’s subservience to the crimes of the Zionist occupation for the fourth month in a row.

It is noteworthy that the STC President loyal to the UAE, Aidarous Al-Zabidi, previously announced his readiness for normalization with the Zionist entity in exchange for its assistance in tearing Yemen apart and returning it to before the achievement of Yemeni unity in May 1990.
