Yemen’s armed forces wage fresh attack against American ship heading to Zionist entity

SANAA, Jan. 10 (YPA) – Yemen’s armed forces, in a cooperation with naval and missile forces. carried out on Wednesday a joint military operation against American ship heading to support the Zionist entity.

Spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, Brigadier General Yahiya Sarie, said in a statement that a large number of ballistic and naval missiles and drones were used in the operation.

He explained that the operation came as a preliminary response to the treacherous attack that American enemy forces waged on the Yemeni naval forces in the Red Sea.

“The Yemeni armed forces affirm that they will not hesitate to deal appropriately with all hostile threats within the right of legitimate defense of our country, our people, and our nation,” the spokesman added.

Sarie affirmed that the armed forces will continue to prevent Israeli ships or those heading to the ports of occupied Palestine from navigating in the Arab and Red Seas until the aggression is stopped and the siege on the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip is lifted.

“The Yemeni armed forces confirm their full commitment to the continuation of shipping traffic in the Red and Arabian Seas to all destinations except the ports of occupied Palestine,” he stated.
