Yemeni official warns of UAE moves to mix cards in Red Sea

SANAA, Jan. 09 (YPA) – The head of the National Committee for Prisoners in Sanaa, Abdulqadir Al-Mortada, warned on Tuesday of the UAE’s movements through its forces on the western coast of Yemen to target ships in the Red Sea.

Al-Mortada confirmed in his account on the “X” platform that there is confirmed information that the UAE directed its forces on the West Coast to target commercial ships in the Red Sea that are not related to or headed to Israel.

He said that “the UAE seeks, through these moves, to mix the cards, influence international navigation, and create justifications for militarizing the Red Sea under the cover of the US-led coalition to protect Israeli ships.
