Dozens of Palestinian citizens killed in Zionist aerial, artillery bombardment on Gaza

GAZA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – Dozens of Palestinian citizens, most of them children and women, were killed and wounded on Sunday morning, as a result of Zionist aerial and artillery bombardment on the Gaza Strip for the 86th consecutive day.

The Israeli shelling targeted three mosques, namely the Al-Muhajireen Mosque, the Al-Sahaba Mosque in Al-Maghazi camp, and the Al-Furqan Mosque in the Al-Hakr area of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

A number of citizens were killed and wounded in shelling that targeted two houses belonging to the Qandil family and the Abu Shehadeh family in Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Israeli warplanes also bombarded the Salah Association in the camp.

An Israeli helicopter fired machine guns east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, in conjunction with artillery shelling on east of al-Bureij and Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip.

In Nuseirat camp, a number of martyrs and wounded arrived at Al-Awda Hospital as a result of the Israeli occupation shelling of the camp.

A Zionist  drone targeted a house belonging to the Tahrawi family, west of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, while a Zionist airstrike hit east of Deir al-Balah city in the central Gaza Strip, leaving dead and wounded.

Moreover,  Israeli artillery also fired shells at the Bureij, Nuseirat, and Maghazi refugee camps in the central Gaza Strip.

On Saturday night, More than 25 civilians were killed and dozens were injured as a result of the Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling on citizens’ homes in Nuseirat and Maghazi refugee camps and Al-Zawaida area in the central Gaza Strip, and Rafah in the south.

The death toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7 has risen to more than 21,650 martyrs, and about 56,000 injured, in addition to thousands of missing persons, 70% of whom are children and women.
