South Africa initiates legal action against Israel for genocide in Gaza

WORLD, Dec. 30 (YPA) – South Africa on Friday submitted a request to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to initiate proceedings against Israel for genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

According to ICJ,  South Africa stated that “the acts and omissions by Israel are genocidal in character, as they are committed with the requisite specific intent … to destroy Palestinians in Gaza as a part of the broader Palestinian national, racial and ethnical group.”
