Iran’s Raisi cancels his participation in climate conference due to presence of Zionist entity president
TEHRAN, Nov. 30 (YPA) – Iranian media announced that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi will not participate in the climate summit that begins Thursday in Dubai, in protest against the presence of the head of the Zionist entity, Isaac Herzog.
Iranian media indicated that Tehran will not send an envoy as a representative of the Iranian president, and its participation in the conference will be limited to the level of energy minister only.
Dubai is hosting the “COP28” conference, the 28th version of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The conference is attended by delegations from 200 countries and continues until December 12. It focuses on implementing the Paris Climate Change Agreement, identifying global solutions to limit the rise in global temperature, and providing specific and ambitious national contributions by 2025 that contribute to solving the climate problem, in addition to discussing accelerating the green transition.
