Beijing: We will work to restore peace in the Middle East as soon as possible

WORLD, Nov. 20 (YPA) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said his country wants to work to “restore peace” in the Middle East, calling on the world to “act urgently” to stop the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

Speaking to a delegation of foreign ministers of the Palestinian Authority and four Arab and Muslim countries in Beijing, Wang said: “Let us work together to quickly cool down the situation in Gaza and restore peace in the Middle East as soon as possible.”

He added, “The international community must take urgent action to stop the “humanitarian disaster” unfolding in Gaza.”

The Israeli occupation army continues its barbaric aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 45th day, amid fierce clashes between factions and occupation forces penetrating into several axes in the Strip.
