Oman cancels its National Day celebrations in solidarity with Gaza

MUSCAT, Nov. 19 (YPA) – The Sultanate of Oman announced the cancellation of its celebrations of the 53rd anniversary of the Omani National Day, on Saturday, which falls on November 18 of each year.

This year’s celebration will be limited to a military parade and the dissemination of the Sultanate’s flags in the country, in solidarity with what the residents of the Gaza Strip are experiencing, according to the General Secretariat for National Celebrations.

Over the past years, the Sultanate has been launching various celebrations throughout the country, including many events due to the impact this occasion has on citizens.

The Israeli occupation army has continued to wage war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, during which it caused the death of more than 12,000 people, including 5,000 children and 3,300 women, in addition to 30,000 wounded, more than 75% of whom were children and women.
