ABYAN, Nov. 02 (YPA) – Maodiya district in Abyan province witnessed on Thursday an angry tribal uprising demanding the exit of the UAE-funded factions of the Southern Transitional Council.
The tribes of the central regions rallied in Maodiya demanding the leaders of the “Security Belt” factions to hand over the perpetrators of the assassination of the three children who were riding a “Noha bus” car last Monday near al-Humaina station in Jeblah area.
Maodiya tribes gave the local transitional authorities and faction leaders 10 days to hand over the perpetrators to the judicial authorities amid the tribes’ threat of escalation after the deadline expires.
The protesters raised photos of the dead amid widespread popular condemnation, stressing that the transitional factions do not respect the laws and customs, according to activists from Abyan’s sons on social media.
