MAHRAH, July 8 (YPA) – Heavy military equipment and planes arrived at al-Ghaida international airport in Yemen’s eastern province of Maharah, coinciding with the continuation of sit-ins in the courtyard of Al-Ghaida, demanding the coalition to return to its declared objectives, media sources said.
According to Al-Maharah Post, media sources confirmed that the Saudi occupation forces had taken al-Ghaida international airport as its military base for its forces, dropped military mechanisms and equipment, including Apache helicopters and military vehicles and anti-riot vehicles on Friday (July 6).
“Rajah Bakrit , pro-coalition Maharah governor Riyadh-based asked the Saudi forces to intensify their existence, allowing him to take full control of all the province and the local authority, with the security and military grip supported by Saudi Arabia.
The sources said that Bakirt is not satisfied with the peaceful sit-in that chanted slogans expressing their asserting on the national sovereignty and demanding the departure of Saudi forces from the province.
