Major corruption scandal within pro-coalition government exposed

JAWF, Sept. 28 (YPA) – Media sources revealed on Thursday a major corruption scandal involving the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Jawf province related to the theft of salaries over a year and a half.

The sources said that Nayef Al-Hamidi, director general of financial affairs at the Ministry of Interior in the pro-coalition government, deceived 425 recruits of Interior Ministry personnel in Jawf about 18 months ago, saying that their names had been dropped and excluded from the payrolls.

“The soldiers discovered that their salaries were paid and withdrawn directly from the teller to Al-Hamidi’s account, to be shared with influential people in the ministry,” the sources added.

This scandal comes within a series of financial corruption scandals in the corridors of the pro-coalition government, which are witnessed by various ministries, institutions, and sectors.
