Saudi Crown Prince arrests his potential rivals

SANAA, July 7 (YPA) – Saudi officials revealed on Thursday that Riyadh is still holding dozens of princes, businessmen, and officials, that it has recently launched a new campaign of arrests and some of them have been tortured, the Wall Street Journal reported.

According to the Wall Street Journal, said that the former Emir of Riyadh, Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud still detained on charges of corruption linked to the Riyadh metro project.

The Wall Street Journal quoted an unnamed Saudi source as saying that the Saudi authorities had not charged Prince Turki, adding “there are those who believe that his arrest is only a political step to oust potential rivals to Bin Salman,”.

Prince Turki bin Abdullah was born on 21 October 1972and he was the Emir of the Riyadh region. He is the seventh son of King Abdullah.
