Senior southern politician returns to Sanaa after 22 years outside Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 28 (YPA) – A prominent southern academic and politician arrived on Wednesday in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, after 22 years he spent outside Yemen.

An official spokesman for the “Southern Revolutionary Movement,” Dr. Mohammad al-Numani, said in his post on “X” platform, “I returned to Sanaa after 22 years of displacement due to my nationalist positions since the 1994 summer war.

He continued, saying, “Hopes and aspirations are still pinned on the Sanaa government and Ansarullah to rid Yemen of foreign tutelage, protect national sovereignty, and to liberate the southern provinces from the Emirati-Saudi occupier.”

Al-Numani pointed out that Sanaa today is the gateway to peace, security, stability, development in the region, stressing Sanaa’s capable of protecting national sovereignty and stopping the plunder of Yemeni wealth.
