ADEN, Sept. 28 (YPA) – Ali Ashal, a pro-coalition parliament member, revealed a new details of new corruption scandal for the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.
“The Polish government provided 40 tons of wheat in aid to Yemen, valued at $ 14 million. He added that the pro- coalition government granted a merchant half of the grant, equal to seven million dollars for transporting the shipment, while the fees for transporting the grant do not exceed two million dollars,” Ashal said in a post on his X account on Wednesday.
Observers do not rule out that the pro-coalition government has worked to transport the shipment through a merchant in exchange for commissions or sharing profits with the trader.
It should be noted that scandals of looting public funds record millions of dollars by the pro-coalition, while citizens in coalition-held areas are suffering from a state of economic collapse, reaches to the level that citizens are unable to secure their basic needs of food and clean water.
