Pompeo: Normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel does not include the establishment of Palestinian state
WORLD, Sept. 28 (YPA) – Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo revealed on Wednesday the secrets of normalization negotiations between Saudi Arabia and the Zionist entity, without “establishing a Palestinian state.”
“It’s impossible to imagine a two-state solution with the current Palestinian leadership. It’s very hard to imagine how one can reach an agreement with the same leaders who have rejected every reasonable offer made to them,” Pompeo said in an interview published by the Jerusalem Post.
“The Saudi ambassador to the Palestinian Authority, Nayef al-Sudairi, is lying in his claim that the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital would be the cornerstone of any future agreement with Israel,” he told the newspaper.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman did not mention the Palestinian state, but only said in an interview with Fox News that “the Palestinian issue is very important, and we need to solve this part,” according to the translation of the Iraqi Information Agency.
“We got to see where we go. We hope that will reach a place that will ease the life of the Palestinians and get Israel as a player in the Middle East,” he said, speaking in English.
Pompeo said every American president would support a normalization agreement – Democratic or Republican. He said it is in America’s interest to have security relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia and between Israel and Saudi Arabia.
