Lahj: Soldier killed at security checkpoint in Tur Al-Baha

LAHJ, Sept. 26 (YPA) – A soldier was killed by gunmen at security checkpoint in Tur Al-Baha of Lahj governorate, southern Yemen, local sources reported on Monday.

According to the sources, the soldier, Mujeeb Al-Suwailami, a member of the “Iron Factory Checkpoint” in Tur Al-Baha district, affiliated to the UAE-backed militia, was shot dead by gunmen while he was searching a car in which 3 gunmen were traveling on.

One the gunmen shot and killed the solider instantly, one of the sources said.

He added, “the identity of the gunmen still unknown and no information confirmed their arrest.”

The incident comes within the framework of the state of insecurity witnessed in the Tur Al-Baha area and Lahj governorate in general.
