TAIZ, Sept. 19 (YPA) – Dozens of employees of the Cleaning Fund in the coalition-held city of Taiz carried out on Monday a protest rally, to demand the payment of their salaries, which have been suspended for four years.
In the rally, the employees stressed officials in the province did not work to pay their salaries, but rather only benefited from the fund’s revenues.
The participants affirmed that would be forced to escalate the protests, calling on all citizens to stand in solidarity with them and ensure that their salaries will be disbursed in a manner consistent with other provinces that coalition controls over.
Previously, the Contractors Syndicate in Taiz had announced the start of the countdown to the escalation of protests to pay their salaries that have been suspended since 2019.
