Journalist kidnapped by armed factions in Aden

ADEN, Sept. 18 (YPA) – One of the journalists close to the security director of Aden city, south of Yemen, Mutahar Al-Shuaibi, was kidnapped on Monday by armed factions of the UAE-backed-Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the center of the city.

Local sources in the city said, that the STC’s security Belt members arrested Majed Al-Shuaibi at a security checkpoint in Mansoura district, adding that Al-Shuaibi was freed hours after his kidnapping and investigating with him.

The city is witnessing a hidden conflict between the leaders and wings of the factions loyal to the UAE, after an assassination attempt emerged against Nasser Al-Khobaji by exploding three tires of his while passing the sea bridge linking the Khor Maksar and Mansoura districts, amid accusations by UAE intelligence.
